Welcome to
Christ Church, High Harrogate
Christ Church, High Harrogate is home to a thriving worshipping community of all ages. It is a centre of Christian worship, learning and fellowship with links across the region and beyond. We are part of the Anglican (Church of England) tradition, but welcome people of all traditions and backgrounds.
We extend a particular welcome to those who are just beginning to explore Christian faith and those who are exploring practising their faith again after many years. On this website you will find a wide range of information about worship, fellowship and learning at Christ Church.

We are thrilled to announce that we have recently been  registered as a Fairtrade place of worship and we have pledged to use fairly traded products and to promote Fairtrade. We will  continue to support farmers and producers by using tea, coffee and sugar that has been fairly traded, have a stall at least twice a year and incorporate Fairtrade into our worship in prayers and readings whenever possible, particularly during Fairtrade Fortnight.

5th    World Environment Day
6th   Recital – Voix Celestes at 12.15pm in church followed by light lunch in the concourse
6th    Tate House Holy Communion for the residents at 2.45 pm
10th  Junior Church Cake Stall for Open Arms Malawi at 11.15am in the Main Hall
10th   Sunday Lunch Bunch Meal at Harrogate Golf Club 12.30pm
11th  Harrogate & Nidderdale District Scouts AGM at 7.30pm in the Main Hall
13th   Link Lunch at 12.15pm in the concourse
17th   Baptism Preparation for the July baptism families in the church and main    hall from 11.30am
17th   Joint Evensong at St James’ Church, Birstwith at 6.00pm
20th   Granby Rose Pastoral Care Visit at 2.30pm
22nd  Wedding of Paul Roebuck & Katie Mumford at 12.30pm
23rd   Wedding of George Allen-Elbourn & Holly Carter at 1.00pm in church
28th   Communion at Granby Court at 11.30am for the residents
28th  The Afternoon Contemplative Prayers at 1.30pm in the Lady Chapel followed by refreshments in the concourse
Regular Worship
SUNDAYS:
8.00 am    Holy Communion - simple said celebration with a short address.

10.00 am  PARISH EUCHARIST - a full sung celebration with quality preaching and music (choir or music group) and groups for children and young people.

WEDNESDAYS:
9.30 am Prayer Service - an opportunity to pray quietly together and light candles in the Lady Chapel.
10.00 am Wednesday Eucharist - a simple celebration of Holy Communion in the South Transept.
        Daily Prayer:
        Morning Prayer (Mon to Fri) at 8.30 am in the
        Lady Chapel.
        Evening  Prayer usually Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday,                 Wednesday and Thursday at 5.30 pm in the Lady Chapel.

The church is open for prayer and silence each day, from 8.30am.

Christ Church 2020 Vision



The Building Project Steering Group (BPSG) has been reassessing the design and costs of the new Ramp Entrance Project. A simpler and more cost effective scheme has been suggested and you are invited into the Parish Centre to have a look at the initial plans for the new revised design.

The PCC is in full support of the new scheme and further details will follow in the coming months.
